Nippori stands fairly tall at 178cm. He's slim, toned, and his hair remains it's natural jet black colour, though it is often swept up into a quiff. His taste in clothes is casual, though he doesn't have much of a choice when it comes to clothing, since there isn't a lot of money to spare. He often wears a black hoody, both with casual clothes and his school uniform.personality
Nippori is a very hard-working individual. Not only does he attend school every day, work his best to improve his tumbling skills at the Rhythmic Gymnastics club, but he also works part-time at his father's factory, to make sure that orders are filled on time so that his father can get some rest and doesn't have to lose customers, and when he isn't doing any of that, he's out looking for work elsewhere. Thanks to all this, it's a wonder that he's even still managed to be a part of the Tumbling team. At the same time, he often has to rush and do homework quickly so it can be handed in on time. Either that, or he hands it in a day late. When it comes to exams, he'll often just hurriedly cram the few nights before it, and thankfully, that plan hasn't failed him yet.
When he does have time off, however small amount of time that may be, he likes to listen to music, practice tumbling and hang out with his friends. To Nippori, his friends and family are the most important things in his life. Which is why he works hard to earn money for his family so that his sister can go to school and be carefree, and he works so hard at tumbling, because not only is it now a passion of his, but it's also a passion that he can share with his friends. And that's something he cherishes.
As far as dislikes go, Nippori doesn't like anyone that causes problems for or hurts his friends. He is especially loyal to his close friend and gang-leader, Azuma Wataru, sometimes even following him around like a little bit of a lost puppy, so anyone that says anything against Wataru or does anything to him, Nippori will immediately jump in on the defensive. His other dislikes include things like being sick or injured so much that he can't work and/or do tumbling.
Fear isn't something that Nippori likes to associate himself with. He's the type of person that will push and strive on through as much as he possibly can. However, not thinking about fear doesn't mean he doesn't have any. He fears for his family. He fears his dad is going to over-work himself and end up seriously ill. If something were to happen to his father, that would leave him to look after his little brothers and his little sister. He fears that he wouldn't be able to look after them well enough. He fears that his sister will give up on her studies to help him and their dad out. He fears that his little brothers won't have a good enough life. He fears that something will happen to his siblings. He fears that something will happen to himself, because then what will happen to his family?
Nippori has a fair few talents, what with having had various different jobs. He isn't exceptional at tumbling, but he's good enough and works hard to improve. He's handy in a lot of practical situations. His other "talents" may include more...work-related things, like being quite a good cook, he's loyal, and he works hard at everything he tries. However, his true talent probably lies in cheering up others; he's quite the comical person. He will always try his best to be there for his friends should they need him - they're one of the most imporant things in his life. He'd fight for them until the end.
Again, something else that Nippori doesn't like associating himself with his weakness. However, he has plenty of them, and will acknowledge some. Sometimes, the others on the Tumbling team are a step or two ahead of him technique-wise. His loyalty, especially to Wataru, could be seen as clingyness. He can be a little hard-headed and stubborn when it comes to working, so unless people literally just start helping him or force him to let them help, he would never ask for anyone's help, thinking that he would be bothering them. Nippori works to improve on all of his weaknesses. Though, that doesn't mean that it'll work on all of them.family & history

Others: apart from his dad and siblings, Nippori only really has his friends.
Nippori's family has never been very well-off. They were perhaps lower middle-class, or maybe even upper lower-class. But family life was good. He and his younger sister were always bickering, but it was just your typical sibling arguments. Even now, he remembers how excited he was when his mother told him that she was going to have another child. He was going to be a big brother x2, and he remembers hoping that it wasn't going to be another girl, however. A year after his mother had given birth to her second son, she became pregnant again, with another boy.
However, things took a turn for the worst after the baby was born. His mother developed post-natal depression, since she now had four children and she couldn't work because they were still young. That left only Nippori's father to do work and bring in money. But it wasn't enough. It was then that Nippori got his very first job being a paperboy, and even though the pay was very little, he gave it all to his mother to help with the family, when any other boy his age would have spent it all.
Things didn't get better, but nor did they get worse for most of the next year. His mother got a job that she could do from home and a few hours at night, although the pay wasn't very good. But money was money, and they would make do. Not long after that, however, Rei died in a car accident. She had went to work like usual for a few hours that night, with Nippori looking after his sister and little brothers. But she never came back. Even today, Nippori can still remember waiting up for her to come back, refusing to sleep until she showed up. It was in the early hours of the morning that some policemen came to the door with the news.
Ever since that day, Nippori vowed to himself that he wasn't going to let anything happen to his family. That was a few years ago now, and still, Nippori is working jobs when he isn't in school and at weekends to make sure his family has enough to get by. What with working, school and gymnastics, he doesn't have much time for anything else nowadays.other
