Eiji is very fond of his hair and he likes colourful clothes, even though he calls himself a Yankee and is part of them.
He is about 1,80m and has got a normal build. Due to being at the swimming club in middle school he’s got quite broad shoulders which he doesn’t mind using in a fight.
He once was told by a girl that he resembles a cat with creme when he smiles. He isn’t quite sure what to think of that.
~nya~personality
the likes...
He likes all kind of candy, especially when it tastes like melon. He also likes to pet cats but he would deny that if anyone would ask him. He enjoys playing the guitar in his free time.
He used to be in the swimming club at middle school.
His favourite dish is okonomiyaki.
the dislikes...
He doesn’t like dark or dull colours. He hates being bored and can’t sit still for very long. He doesn’t like to drink since he hates losing control. Huge dogs are quite scary, but don’t tell anyone.
Yankee’s are never scared.
the hates...
His step-father
the goals...
Does he have any goals? He doesn’t know, nor does he care. He remembers wanting to be a teacher when he was little. Wow, he was weird back then!
He doesn't think much about his future at the moment, everything on his mind is what will happen in the evenings after leaving behind thispicture perfectrotten family.
Eiji is a difficult character.
He seems like a nice person when you look at him and he actually is. He is not the archetype of the Yankee, he is good at school, he likes his step-sister, he is helping in the garden on the weekends...
Deep inside of him though there is a dark side and nasty thoughts. There is something dark, trying to claw out it’s way, replacing this pleasant smile on his face with a snarl. He likes getting into trouble, the adrenaline, the feeling of power over this chap you are just beating up just for the fun of it. Or to get the bit of money he carried in his wallet.
Eiji likes to confuse people and to play with them. He manages to be good at school and not miss out much in classes but also hang out with the Yankee’s and get accepted among them. He enjoys living two lives alongside each other, being the Yankee in the one life and being the kind and good son in the other. His Yankee-life is mainly kept hidden, though. Everyone at school knows that he is hanging out with them but they never exactly noticed him being yankeeish at all. So the teachers don’t really have anything to say about it, plus he is still good at school.
He is an eloquent talker, very well able to draw people towards him. Not many want to be friends with him, though, after all you never know what he is actually up to and on whom’s side he is...
He is not exactly cruel, but he surely enjoys the feeling of superiority when he beats someone up and he likes it that he feels so strong within this group of Yankee’s.
He doesn’t like getting attached to people or to anything at all. You could probably describe him as numb. He had a few girlfriends, too, got dumped, dumped them, never really cared. Friends came and went... doesn’t matter. His mother... was she ever really his mother?
His weak spot is probably his step-sister. He feels like he needs to protect her, be it from his stepfather and her father, or the whole world. There are so many bad things out there, she rather not know about them. Or what he is up to when he leaves the house in the evening.family & history
Father: ?, his mother never talks about him
Mother: Shimizu Eiko
Siblings: /
Others: step-father & step-sister
In Kyoto Eiji was born to his mother when she was 16 years old. Her parents hadn’t been overjoyed by that and hadn’t granted her to finish up Highschool but made her get a job so she would learn ‘how the real life works’ while her mother was taking care of the little Eiji.
In his first years he was raised up by his grandmother and his grandfather, who were both quite young themselves at that time and didn’t mind the new child they had been gifted with. They gave him everything he wished for, he had all the toys which were required for a child’s happiness (at least that’s what the commercials said) and he received all the love they had to share, which was quite a lot since their daughter had disappointed them so much.
His real mother was not often to be seen, she worked a lot and she sometimes stayed away to go to a party or to ‘sleep with strangers to dump us a new kid here in 9 months’ as his grandmother used to say. It was only natural that Eiji started to call his grandmother ‘Kaachan’ and his grandfather ‘Touchan’ - and they never corrected him.
His real mother found a new boyfriend and moved out – leaving his child at her parents since they were so good at taking care of him.
Eiji didn’t see much of her until he was 8 years old. She suddenly stood on the threshold and wanted her child back. Her relationship had gone wrong, very wrong, she had a horrible time behind her and now she wanted a new start... with her son, Eiji.
His grandparents didn’t want to hand him over, but she threatened them with lawyers and a lawsuit. She was serious.
Even though her son didn’t recognise her and never knew that she was his mother, she took him with her, ignoring his needs and what probably would have been best for him at that time.
A very confusing time started for Eiji. They moved away from Kyoto and far, far away to Miura where his mother had found a job and a tiny flat to live at. Even though she had tried to explain the whole situation to him, that she was in fact his real mother, Eiji couldn’t understand it. Where had she been all these years then? Why hadn’t his parents... no, his grandparents told him that she was his sister, then?
So many questions.
He tried to run a few times, tried to get back to Kyoto somehow, but he was always caught and brought back to this strange woman who claimed to be his mother.
He hated Miura, he hated the tiny flat after being raised up in a big house. His grandparents were rich and had never failed to spoil him.
Everything was very difficult for him, he failed to make friends at school and things only got better when he entered middle school. He participated in the swimming club, won a few prizes, got a few dates, had a lot of good friends. He was a normal guy, seemed to have settled in his new life and got over everything he’s been through. His relationship with his mother was good, he liked to bring her to his contests and he enjoyed drinking tea with her and taking a walk every Sunday.
Shortly before graduation from middle school, his mother met a new man. He seemed nice, had a daughter with another woman (‘It didn’t work out, we divorced two years ago.’). Eiji approved, he was happy for his mother.
They all moved together that summer, they had bought a little house in the city. His step-sister was alright, she was 8 and they didn’t have much in common but she wasn’t as annoying as she could have been. Their neighbours thought they looked so happy, a really happy family. How wonderful!
They weren’t. His mothers boyfriend liked to drink... and when he was drunk... he liked to hit people. Especially when they were entertaining him with a good fight beforehand. Apparently Eiji satisfied those needs.
Eiji started to go out more often, trying to avoid those fights, also late at night since that was the time his step-father normally got drunk.
You meet quite shady people when you stroll around so late and Eiji did meet a few, in fact. At first, he came home with a few more bruises in addition but after a while he was the one who hit first, who gave them bruises and scars and broken bones. He started enjoying the fact that he was the strong one here while he seemed so weak at home.
After joining Highschool he quickly got friends with several Yankee’s at their school, joining their gang. He felt invincible. Hanging out with those guys, smoking cigarettes, vandalising the city late at night, spraying kinky stuff on walls or emptying trashcans all over the footpath. It was fun, he was the one being in charge, the strong one. The powerful one.
At home he is the nice boy with the freaky hair. The boy who takes good care of his step-sister, who is best friends with his step-father and who is always so much of a gentleman towards his mother. At least that’s what their neighbours think. There is no need to tell them what happens behind their walls or late at night when Eiji is slipping on his heavy leather boots and lightning a cigarette before stalking out into the night, slowly merging with the darkness.
Really, there is no need to.other
