Mari adjusted the strap of her bag with one hand as she pushed open the library door with the other. As much as she loved her family, sometimes it done her a little good to get out of the house for a while in order to focus on schoolwork. Her little sister and little brother were quite…boisterous sometimes. Add in about a dozen pets to that, and you had the Satonaka household. Also, libraries tended to have this kind of magic power that helped her to concentrate, and always found she got more done quicker at the library than she ever did at home.
She wasn’t one to read a lot, if she was being honest. She preferred being active and actually doing things rather than sitting and reading a book, but that wasn’t to say that she didn’t like to read. She had countless manga volumes and fiction novels on the shelves in her room at home, and she did like to browse the library for an interesting book or two whenever she was there, even if she was originally there to do schoolwork.
There was some English and Maths work that she wanted to get done today…and perhaps make a decent start on the History paper that was due in the following week. In any case, there was very little English and Maths that she had left to do, so she wasn’t worried about that being too time-consuming.
Walking over to one of the tables nearest the History section, she set down her bag and the notebook she carried under her arm. Sitting down, she pulled out her maths book and got to work finishing the equations she had left to do. Her grades were good, she guessed - she was far from failing every class, at least. She got good grades in Maths and English, and got decent grades in History. The only class that she would say she excelled in would be Music.
…But Music wasn’t about to help her right now. About halfway through the work though, she ended pulling her iPod out of her bag and putting her earphones in. She hummed quietly to herself as she worked, her face covered with an expression of slight concentration. A smile lit her face as she finished off the last equation and set her maths book aside.
The English work didn’t take all that long either, perhaps only half an hour. Setting that aside, she decided to get up and go take a look at the history books. Standing up, she made her way over to the shelves to start looking for what she needed. She mouthed the words of each song that played into her ears as she continued to browse. Alice Nine, THE KIDDIE, and Hamasaki Ayumi songs all played, one after the other.
Running her fingertips along the spines of the books, she skimmed the titles as she went. Removing her hand from the books after only finding one she could use, she went to turn into another row of shelves, when she collided straight into someone just coming out of that row. She nearly dropped the book she was carrying, but managed to catch it before it fell further than her waist. “Oh, I’m sorry!” she said, before she looked up at the face of who she had bumped into and realized it was someone she knew.
((ooc - crap post is crap. I’m sorry D:
hmm, it seems that Mari keeps bumping into the yankee boys by…well, literally bumping into them haha. Her outfit is here~ I’m so looking forward to this! XD))
