ooc: Short response is short, but I don't care.
The beat of the bass managed to filter its way into the bathroom, and Keiko could see it, with the combination of the drums, could still make the mirror on the wall quiver.
It was almost enough to hide the look in Uchida’s eyes.
She watched as the other girl crossed her arms and turned her head away from her, "Shouldn't you be out there, with your friend? He's the one crying, and all."
It was sudden, she really didn’t expect… well, anything, from Uchida, and the obvious disdain on her tongue caught her off guard. Keiko bit her lip, reaching up to take the cap off her head. She twisted it in her grip, “Ryosuke-kun…” She looked down, at her twisted accessory in her hands, “He can take care of himself, I’m sure he’ll meet up with his friends…”
She dared to sneak a peek under her bangs, at the other girl for any reaction. She quickly glanced back down. This was the person Ryosuke claimed to love, the same person who saved her from a pervert and then slapped the blonde. On the one hand, she wanted to be there for the Yankee, even if he was…
But on the other… She didn’t know much about Uchida, or what made her tick, and she could see, if only a little bit, why Ryosuke would start to think there was something more to the nurse.
There was more to Uchida than what she appeared to be.
“But you looked so… lonely.”
Keiko kept her face towards the floor, her grip on her little cap tight. “Maybe it would be alright to leave you alone here, and find Ryosuke-kun, but I can’t bring myself to do that.”
She forced a gulp down her throat, the only silence drowned out with the steady beat from the music outside.
