ACTUAL Tumbling Resources

So in addition to RPing here, I'm writing a fanfic I'm posting on the LJ Tumbling com. In working on that, I've noticed how little I knew about rhythmic gymnastics. I've found some helpful links that might help you guys in your writing, and in whatever we might have going on here (y'know, if there's ever a point when we actually get to doing gymnastics here... )

P.S.: From what I've gotten from my search, what's usually referred to as "rhythmic gymnastics" and "tumbling" (at least in English) are different! So beware in your searches~

• Wikipedia (lolz)
• Site about men's RG around the world
• Flash animations of different gymnastics techniques
• Description of rhythmic gymnastics apparatuses
• Lots of good info on RG, how events are run and scored (though partially in German... :/)
• YouTube search for men's rhythmic gymnastics (in Japanese, since they pretty much monopolize the sport)

If anyone finds any other good resources, please feel free to post them here~

About the RG / Tumbling distinction... Off the top of my head, it's that "rhythmic gymnastics" is an entire discipline, like "apparatus gymnastics" and "artistic gymnastics". There are different elements to each these disciplines. I think it's stated in the show that the two main elements in rhythmic gymnastics are the dancing and tumbling. Dancing would be the moving to the music, and tumbling would be the flips and acrobatics.

Of course, I could be completely wrong here...

Anyhow, I hope that's right that helps you guys!
