Mizusawa was frustrated. Of course he was. He had gone into that elevator expecting he'd be outside in a matter of minutes, clearing his mind of the one thing that had preventing him from sleeping. And yet, what had happened? Instead, he had gotten stuck in the elevator with the one thing that had been keeping him from sleeping. The one person.
Hino.
What had happened on the elevator...That had not been him. He was sure of it. He was sure he must have been so tired that his body had been sleepwalking or something, had been crazy enough to force his sleeping self into doing something with Hino that of course they would both regret. Something that had ended in complete embarrassment for the entire team present.
After going back to his room, he had been very grateful that Yuuta had not been one of the people downstairs to see what had happened between him, Hino, and Ryosuke on the elevator. The other boy was still sleeping peacefully in their dark hotel room by the time he got back. He felt comfortable enough there, to throw himself back onto the soft bed, turning over onto his back to stare up at the ceiling blankly. Surely, after everything that had happened, sleep was going to hit him like a ton of bricks. And he welcomed it. He needed something to escape the mortifying situation he'd just put himself through.
But apparently he was wrong. Because no matter how much he tried to sleep, it just wasn't working. He tried changing back into his pajamas, then going underneath the covers of his bed. But even then, nothing could do it for him. He was back at the same damn square he'd been at before he'd taken that frustrating and sickly tantalizing elevator ride.
Unable to sleep because of Hino.
Thoughts of their night together flooded his mind, coupled with the tingling sensation of what had happened less than an hour ago. He still hadn't gotten over the sudden rush of passionately kissing Hino, and in a public place. Nor had he forgotten the sudden shock of the elevator slipping mere seconds after that, only aiding in building up his adrenaline. Of course, he had to remind himself, that had definitely all happened in his sleep. Because someone like him would never do that otherwise--only in his dreams.
Though the lingering feeling, the still tingly sensation that ran up and down the length of his body, told him that what he felt was very real, and he wasn't quite as done with Hino as he might hope.
But that being said, he still didn't know how Hino felt about all this. He knew automatically how disgusted Ryosuke was, how confused the other guys were. He'd been mortified beyond belief in front of them and had actually dashed off to take the stairs back up to his room, no matter how much time that would take. Facing them was just going to be another reality for the next day, he knew that. But before that, before he head to deal with that, he wanted to clear things up with Hino.
Which was why, unable to go back to sleep, Mizusawa decided he needed to pay Hino a visit. He couldn't completely guarantee his reasons for being there, but he knew it was the place to be.
So, throwing on one of the hotel yukata over his pajamas, he grabbed his key and left his hotel room. The hallway was even quieter than before, and somehow seemed darker. Mizusawa felt a little shaken being up this late at night, when it seemed that everyone really had finally gone to sleep. Of course, the main problem was that he had no clue where Hino's room was.
Taking the elevator safely down to the lobby floor, he caught the night attendant and explained that he was a teammate and needed to know the other boy's room. Luckily, the attendant seemed too tired to care much if this story was legit or not, and she informed him of his teammate's floor and room number.
Mizusawa took the elevators back up, praying as he had on the way down that they wouldn't break with him alone in them--that was possibly scarier then being with Hino and Ryosuke. When he finally reached Hino's floor, he was relieved, quickly exiting off the elevator and turning down the hallway to Hino's room.
It was a lot colder on this floor for some reason, at least in the hallway. Wrapping his arms around himself to keep warm, he finally found the room number he was looking for, and reached up to knock on the door.
Then it occurred to him. What if Hino was sleeping? The last thing he wanted to do was disturb the other boy when he'd finally managed to fall asleep. After all, that was what he had been hoping for after returning to his own room. But in the end, his selfish side won, wanting to get everything settled, and so he knocked anyway.
Staring at the door with a tense, bottomless feeling coursing through his body, he stifled a yawn, hoping, praying Hino was still awake.
