"Oh, could it be that you were standing here all along waiting for her?" He nodded to the direction Akira was standing.
“Yeah... Why are you here? Everyone is going to meet up in the station, right? And there’s still plenty of time before the appointed time”, she asked as she turned her head to Aki.
The way the girl responded seemed to hint that they were not in some kind of romantic relationship. Well, not yet, but even to the thick headed Wataru, it was clear that the Aki guy thought of the girl as more than just a normal friend.
Aki stuttered his answer. “It’s just... the way from school... to the meeting place. By chance, this school is on my way. “
Wataru bit his lip as he tried to contain his laughter due to the way Aki responded. He was definitely having fun with this, now that he found out Aki's weakness. The way he stuttered when he answered further confirmed Wataru's theory and made Aki appear less powerless in this situation. The devil side within Wataru was growing.
“Hmm? I think the way from your school to the meeting place doesn’t cross this school”, she said in a curious tone.
“Okay... We’ll go there together then.” She smiled.
Seeing Aki’s reaction, she chuckled. “Thank you for picking me up”, she said teasingly.
Whoa, he almost for rejected there! The evil side of Azuma Wataru almost bubbled out with his chuckles, but luckily, he managed to look away from the conversation, concentrating his eyes on the weeds that grew on the crack of the concrete wall at the corner of the school.
“I am Minami Akira, second grade, head of the broadcasting club. It’s nice to meet you. Congratulation on your winning and I wish you good luck on the Kantou championship.”
Oh, so this was Minami Akira. Wataru knew he had heard the name somewhere and seen her face around. But by now, he was more than certain he would remember her. Minami Akira, the annoying boy's crush aye?
Then, Hino finally responded “Hino Tetsuya, Nice to meet you.” He greeted in return, though she probably already knew his name seeing as she knew of the Tumbling team. “Thank you, we will try our best”
As usual, his calm, well mannered self was back.
"Oh, Wataru here. Nice to meet BOTH of you", Wataru stressed on the 'both' as he eyed Aki once again.
"So you love birds going on a date eh" Oh, just how secretly desperate Wataru was himself, wanting to go on a date with the one he liked.
The boy somehow just ticked Wataru off even with him just standing there. Mocking Aki was Wataru's only way in which he could feel better, so he looked at Aki and said to him "Aren't you lucky you got yourself such a nice girlfriend? Right Hino?" And with that, Wataru started to walk away with a big grin on his face.
He really need a stroll on the beach now.
