ooc: Short post is short, but *shrug*
A feeling of relief came over Keiko as the blond boy nodded, "I think I know one, somewhere near the shops in the town, but it's a bit far from here. I mean...yeah, the ocean's...." She nodded in agreement. She heard a movement beside her and saw Ryosuke scratch the back of his neck.
Keiko rubbed her arms, “The ocean’s nice, but not at night.” She shivered, “It’s starting to get really cold.”
"Why don't we, uhh, catch the bus? Please allow me to cover your share of it, and then we can get to the city and find that shop. I like okonomiyaki too. The place I'm thinking of also has monjya, I don't know if you like that? We can try different kinds." He offered a smile, and Keiko couldn’t help but return it. It was obvious he was trying really hard and, call her crazy, but she found that she didn’t want to leave him alone, not yet.
“I’ve never tried monjya before, but I’ve heard good things about it. That would be fine, yeah.”
She watched as Ryosuke got to his feet, wiping the excess sand off his pants before holding a hand out for her to take, "Ready?"
Keiko felt her head nod, reaching up to grab the blond’s hand before standing up, brushing the sand off her own clothes. Her eyes found the stick she found at the start of the weird encounter, it was lying off to the side, almost completely hidden by the darkness by now. Another cold breeze flew by; Keiko could feel her teeth chattering at the sudden blast, but she tried to act like it was nothing. “Mm. Let’s go.”
She nodded in the direction from where she came, and the two made their way down the beach, towards the bus stop where they waited for the next bus. They kept silent, an unspoken agreement between the two of them that last even through the bus ride back into town.
